Strictly Come Dancing 2014: week six results
Halloween redeems itself – ever so slightly – by casting off the right person.
We begin with Janette bending back in Aljaž’s arms, her miming eating (or smelling) an apple and then Maleficent appears and so does Kristina – wait, maybe she was Maleficent. I don’t know. It was weirdly beautiful but just mainly weird. Back in the day, the professional dances made sense.
Mark and Karen, Frankie and Kevin, Sunetra and Brendan and Caroline and Pasha.
Scott and Joanne.
The staging isn’t Annie’s best go. Last time, she had about 100 candles all over the floor.
No dancers. Bland performance.
Len’s Lens (ft Zoe Ball)
Pixie and Trent, Jake and Janette, Judy and Anton, Simon and Kristina and Steve and Ola.
Alison and Aljaž.
Alison and Aljaž seem shocked to be in the dance-off which annoys me because I’m not getting good vibes off the pair of them! Anyway, Alison was a tad more graceful this time around which is a marked improvement because a) it means she took on the judges comments b) it means she is fighting and c) the band were even worse.
And so we come to the end of the road…which I think Scott and Joanne knew before they went in. It felt very final. Mind you, it was horrific. I’m all for the journey and thinking you’re learning but…surely? Enough is enough?
OUT: Scott Mills and Joanne Clifton.
