Strictly Come Dancing 2014: week five results

Arguably the first shocker of the series, I’ve a feeling it may be downhill from here…

Not a theme week. Next week is. But it’s Halloween (help!) so I’m not really sure on the Barn Dance front. It was really good but really bizarre and featured some guy named Jimmy. A Western themed Halloween week theme? I don’t know. I just know that I never particularly want to see that dance again.

Claudia then harassed Barbara Windsor/Peggy Mitchell and Jamie Murray. Jamie is much better looking that Andy.

Pixie and Trent, Steve and Ola, Sunetra and Brendan, Caroline and Pasha and Scott and Joanne.

Maybe out

Thom and Iveta.

Culture Club

With smatterings of Karen and Kevin and Aliona and Tristan. Not very exciting. Tristan is cute. The drummer looks thoroughly bored. Until the end, when he smiled.

Len’s Lens

Yeah. It happened.

Jake and Janette, Frankie and Kevin, Alison and Aljaž, Judy and Anton and Mark and Karen.

Maybe out

Simon and Kristina.

Thom and Iveta go up first with Thom looking like a lost little lamb but second time around made me hate the song choice. It didn’t work did it? Also don’t think he was as good this time. Looked very unsure of himself, which isn’t completely unfounded…

And so to Simon and Kristina in the dance-off for the second time this series. Simon really let go this time around and embodied the judges’ comments from Saturday live show. That’s what the comments are there for and it’s nice seeing that happen. He really fought for it.

Len had his casting vote – for once – and saved Simon.

NEXT WEEK: Halloween. God help us all. I hate Halloween.
