Wednesday’s It Takes Two: three things

We saw: Abbey Clancy with partner Aljaž Skorjanec, Susanna Reid with partner Kevin Clifton, Sophie Ellis-Bextor with partner Brendan Cole and former-show professional Ian Waite.

We loved: The return of Waite’s Wednesday Warm-Up (try saying that 10 times fast) because – as avid fans – we embrace the opportunity to see in to the rehearsal rooms. We get this and with the added bonus of a professional pointing out what looks good and what doesn’t look so brilliant.

We liked: New professional Kevin is still being referred to as ‘Kevin from Grimsby’. For now on I shall be ‘Natasha from London’

We hated: Could be a personal shtick but I felt three couples as well as a training insight was too much to cram in half an hour. Sometimes the show feels messy and rushed…like today.

It Takes Two continues tonight on BBC2 at 6.30pm

  1. Agreed that they pack a lot in to a half hour programme and I did get a bit irritated by how much time was spent on the introduction to both Ian and Karen, TWICE. Just a minor whinge that may not have saved an awful lot of time but maybe would have allowed the whole programme to move at a slightly less breakneck speed. xx

Tell Tasha.
