Strictly Come Dancing Results – The nail in the coffin..
Beep Beep. Mwahaha.
Broomsticks at the ready to see one couple exit the competition – and this week is the turning point for the GBP as we seem to have seen SENSE. Or maybe the dance was just too scary to find funny….honestly, I had a nightmare about it. And if you’re reading this as a recap of the show then I am sorry for spoiling the result at the start – implicitly anyway
…and yes, I have been ‘Beep Beeping’ all day in vague attempt to claim the taxi joke.
So last night spooked us all as we saw wardrobe gaffes (poor Chels!), X-Rated moves (Robbie!), drawn out VT’s (Jason and the ghosts (the tribute band to Jerry and The Pacemakers)) and the downright scarily awful (Nancy and Anton…). Oh yes, and some dancing. But tonight in the witching hour (well, 35 minutes) another couple will fly out of the competition for good. But who will it be? And of course, apart from the result, there is a performance from The Wanted (*shudders*…) and a couple of spooktacular professional dances for us to gawp at!![]()
As well as Claudia Winkleman’s dress sense actually fitting in with the show for once. Did anybody read the rodent story in the Sunday Express this morning? I bet that’s cheesing some contestants off. Isn’t he cute? —>

Gimmick alert! But sexy costumes for the girls and nerdy chic for the boys! Look at those braces! OMG THIS CAME ON MY ITUNES EARLIER AND I THOUGHT THIS WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT DANCE! I have a sixth sense
I really don’t like Ola’s hair – what is living in there? Katya, Kristina and Aliona have normal hair! What can I say? Brilliant as usual. And fantastic little trick there with the judges switchover. S p o o k y…(not, it’s called pre-record)
Oh it’s the dead parrot Alesha wore the other day…around Tess’s waist…with a few feathers stuck to it…
Strictly Come Dancing – Week 3 – Brilliant Broadway Bonanza!
Good evening and welcome to BROADWAY! I hope you all had a pleasant flight here to New York City and thank you very much for choosing my blog as your evening accompanist! I aim to be your trusted theatre guide for this evening – I do love a cracking night at the theatre! Clearly, I am closer to the West End (as are most of us!) but I did enjoy Broadway shows when I visited New York!
I’d like to add a special shoutout for Brendan Cole (who will never see this but hey!) honouring him for his tweet dedicating his dance tonight with Lulu to his beloved father who passed away a year ago on this day and also to Robbie Savage (again, won’t see this!) who is dancing with Ola in dedication to Jack Marshall and Harry Moseley whom were two amazing little boys who passed away this week of the most horrible of cancers.
But enough of the sad stuff, it’s going to be a truly amazing show. Although I fear a lot of props – and we know how I feel about them.

I always get very stuck on what to write in this section. I rarely have any comments about from on the sheer awesomeness of the choreography and the dancing. I love how the celebrities joined in as well – what a brilliant twist! Everyone looks very cheery. I do love those costumes though – where can I get one?! Very good. Nice start.
TESS LEG UPDATE: Failed. Not even out. Not even up. Nice dress though. Did somebody forget to brush her hair?
Holly Valance and Artem Chigvintsev – Tango – Chicago (Cell Block Tango)
Cage time. The prop is relevant to the dance but I still hate it! And Holly’s costume is bordering on pornographic! She looks FANTASTIC! Artem’s choreography excites me – it’s different every week and very unpredictable. I don’t have very much too say to that. There was hardly any Tango – a lot of walking and Tango-esque moves but not much in hold and it didn’t seem very…dancey??
My score: 5
Judges scores = Craig 7, Len 8, Alesha 7, Bruno 8 = 30/40!
Dan Lobb and Katya Virshilas – Viennese Waltz – We Will Rock You (Somebody To Love)
PVC waistcoat of the week?! Straight into hold and straight around the floor elegantly. His posture is looking a lot better (given his height) and he isn’t looking down as much as he was in his Waltz. But I knew Kat would sort that – I mean, she taught Gavbot! Storytelling/acting pleased me because it wasn’t too overboard that it distracted from the dancing but it was still there contributing to the theme of the night. Such an improvement though! Show some love though Danny boy!
My score: 7
Judges scores = Craig 5, Len 7, Alesha 6, Bruno 6 = 24/40!
Strictly Come Dancing Results – First for the chop!
Hey there!
Since my blog seems to be my newfound friend I decided that rather than It Takes Two, I would tackle the [It’s-not-actually-Sunday] Sunday results show! At the end of this (what should be!) short blog post, feel free to drop me a line and let me know if you agree with the result! And, I assume, tonight we get to see Mr Cole’s professional dance – or else this choreographing for nothing may be a sign Strictly is going down the swanny!
Last night saw all 14 couples take to the floor in a spectacularly long show full of the good (most couples), the bad (Edwina) and the downright awful (Nancy). In case you missed it the show or just skipped over the blog (how could you?!
), my review of last nights show can be read here.
I hear music…it’s 7.25pm on a very cold Sunday night and it’s time…it’s time for 14 to become 13 in this – the first – un-live results show of the series!
Professional dance
Woop! Oh, Lady Gaga again! Some skimpy and colourful costumes in there! My brain seems to be thinking that those black straps must either itch or be too tight? And the BBC cuts have clearly hit the button sewing department this year – not that many will be complaining! Again, no comments from me on the dancing as I can’t dance apart from saying THAT WAS AMAZING!!! *squeals like a fangirl*
Tonight sees a performance from Will Young (listen, hear the sound of the barrel being scraped?), some weird set on legs (? sorry Claud, I wasn’t listening) and a no doubts stupidly long-winded reveal of the eliminated couple. And Claudia is back! I LOVE HER. I’ve met her. She called me cute. She, in fairness, was at my house and I was in Year 2 though.
Strictly Come Dancing Week 2 – 120 golden minutes
Hello guys and gals!
So, what is today? Well apart from it being a holy day for myself which means I have fasted 24 hours as I start my blog and 26 hours by the end (yes, I’m hungry!) it is also the FIRST TIME OUR 14 COUPLES WILL BE DANCING IN ONE NIGHT! (yes more exciting than my stomach, correct?) but sadly that also means that we must say goodbye to one of our couples tonight! But that couple won’t be revealed until the results show at 7.25pm tomorrow night!
I must admit, I am a little anxious about how 2 hours of Strictly will go down – it’s a lot of time for the same thing – no matter how much we all love it – and I fear a lot of padding and procrastination ahead.
So I apologise now for the length of this blog and I really do hope that I don’t bore you too much! In fact, I hope I don’t bore myse-….zzzzzz….
TESS LEG UPDATE: It’s straight! Again! Blimey!
I’ll stop talking now. Dancing, please.
Chelsee Healey and Pasha Kovalev – Salsa
I have high hopes for this because it actually looked very good yesterday on It Takes Two plus we can see Chelsee is trying so hard and has potential. But what is with those trousers? Seriously? Half mermaid half dancer? Look at those hips go! She’s got something you know, I’m really excited by her! Lots of tricky twists and turns in there – brave choreography from Pasha! But she pulled it off – it was fast, funky, sexy and put a smile on my face. Cracking.
My score: 7
Judges scores = Craig 7, Len 7, Alesha 8, Bruno 7 = 29/40!
Edwina Currie and Vincent Simone – Foxtrot
She is really annoying me – and we are only on her second appearance. Oh, props. Strike 1. Do some dancing and get off your backside. Better. But just not a lot of moving around the floor fluidly?? Oh now that’s better they CAN move. All felt a bit…showy. I didn’t like it? They just…I can’t feel them as a couple! I can’t see that partnership! I can’t see her developing as a dancer. Sorry Eggs, but we have a major problem (yes, every week I will…)
My score: 3
Judges score = Craig 4, Len 5, Alesha 5, Bruno 5 = 19/40!
Slightly off-topic but is anybody else REALLY cold?!
Audley Harrison and Natalie Lowe – Salsa
Beauty and the beast instalment for the week. Aw no, I like him – he’s trying really hard! He’s not actually half bad you know! He can move, he’s MOVING. As far as I can see he is in time as well which is a bonus but sometimes it was a bit laboured and lacked cohesion. But it wasn’t bad – I’ve seen worse and with Nancy to come, I fear the worst is yet to come!
My score: 5
Judges scores = Craig 5, Len 6, Alesha 6, Bruno 6 = 23/40!
